One of last year’s most pleasant surprises was the sublime debut of California hip-hop act Blu & Exile, who’s Below the Heavens LP – with its introspective lyrics and 9th Wonder/DJ Premier-esque beats – was reminiscent of an It Was Written or Resurrection for the new millenium. Now Blu is back (it’s unclear whether Exile provided the production) with two new bangers. Act like you know.
