And you thought only athletes had their hands in the proverbial ‘roids jar. Turns out the use of human growth hormone (HGH) and steroids may stretch beyond big-headed athletes to all sorts of entertainers and music artists, including Timbaland, 50 Cent, Wyclef Jean, Mary J. Blige and… Tyler Perry?

The Albany Times-Union article that broke the story (and so far cites only confidential sources) says the artists were linked to the illegal drugs through a common trainer at cool-sounding upscale Manhattan gym, Clay. Despite a lack of good ol’ verified scientific evidence, the drugs are increasingly being associated with anti-aging effects, which may explain the artists’ desire for them. Though staying hot in the entertainment biz is a dirty game, like a wise man once said, drugs are bad. Just ask this chick.

[…] Pumped-up producer and human hit-factory Tim Mosley recently signed a deal with Verizon wireless to create the first-ever “mobile album” consisting of 12 songs to be released month-by-month throughout the year. The tracks will be exclusively available on Verizon’s V-Squad V-Cast network and will feature a variety of artists from different genres.
