So Austin’s greatest week in music is getting closer every minute. Here at the Juice, we owe it to you to stay on our grind and start delivering the goods early. What better way to start than with buzzworthy indie favs Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward? The duo, collectively known as She & Him, will swing by The Parish in a few months, and while I wouldn’t expect any high-stakes break-dancing, mademoiselle Deschanel has some serious pipes. mp3 and more after the jump.

The actress you might know as the big sister in Almost Famous has amassed quite the cult following and began recording music with alt. country virtuoso M. Ward about a year ago. While She & Him will always be noted for Her good looks and His indie cred, Deschanel and M. Ward’s brand of sultry, country-tinged folk pop is smart enough to prove its mettle.

She and Him hit The Parish March 14. Volume 1 is out 3/18. Download the endearing single “Why do you let me stay here?” below.
